Rules and Regulations.
-
Players born 1st January 1995 up to 31st December 1995 are eligible to participate in this Football Festival.
-
Matches will be played on a 7-a-side basis.
-
Each club will field one team. The minimum number of players per club is 7, whilst the maximum number of players is 12 players per team.
-
The scope is to allow all our players to participate actively during the games. There are no limits on the number of substitutes. Once a player has been substituted, that same player cannot re-enter during the game, unless a player gets injured and the team has no more substitutes. Only then will a substituted player be allowed to re-enter the field of play.
-
3 points will be awarded in the case of a win, 1 point in case of a draw, whilst no points will be awarded in case of a loss. The club obtaining the highest number of points will be declared the winner of the Festival.
-
In case two or more clubs finish on equal points, then direct confrontation will be considered first, followed by goal difference, and finally, the highest number of goals scored.
-
Footballs used during this festival will be size 4.
-
Size of pitches will be 28m x 45m. All matches will be played on our artificial turf pitch at Pembroke
-
Match duration will be 30 minutes, 15 minutes each half, with immediate change over of sides. No extra time is given, even in cases where play has been stopped because of injuries.
-
Only 2 delegates per team, and players as per line up will be allowed in the enclosed area during the games.
-
Each club must present a line up of all participating boys. Y.F.A. identity cards are to be presented if and when asked for by the Tournament Director.
-
Before and at the end of every match all players are to shake hands.
-
Goal Kicks. Goal kicks can be taken from the ground, or the goalkeeper plays a short pass to his team mate who returns the ball to the goalkeeper, before the goalkeeper can play the ball again with his hands or feet. The goalkeeper can only play the ball in his own half, otherwise a free kick from half pitch will be given in favour of the opposing team. This rule is being used to encourage more positive football.
-
All matches will be controlled by Melita officials.

Participation fee of Lm20/€46.59 is to be settled prior to the commencement of the Festival.
