A few words from the President of the Football Club."

With the retirement of coach Roland Sollars the team had to struggle to find form and cohesion.

Also the loss to St Venera of winger David Azzoppardi and others resulted in a vacuum in the Midfield. After a few weeks of team effort and the arrival of 8 players from St Venera and the return of former players of Pembroke and other acquisitions the team after three straight losses in the knock out and the first game of the competition, Pembroke started to resume its former strength and speed.

Pembroke Athleta Football team has now started to peak and friendlies against the under 19's of Sliema with the result 2 - 1 and the senior team of Mosta 2 - 0, saw Pembroke developing faster and more complex football.

At the moment, the club is now in a stronger position than last year, and we now hope that positive results will become a normal occurrence. We believe that Pembroke team can now hope to fight for the honors, if not at least for the play offs.
